Tim Hortons Strawberry Cheesecake Muffin Review 2026: A Spring Flop?

Earlier today was a big family day as we celebrated my younger sister’s birthday, but before the festivities began, Hubby and I carved out a little "us" time. We found ourselves at the Tim Hortons on Bridgeport and No. 4 Road in Richmond, BC, curious to try their latest seasonal feature.

A "love letter" to spring at the Bridgeport Tim Hortons. The Sakura-pink aesthetic is undeniable, but does the taste live up to the look?

The Snapshot: Tim Hortons Spring 2026

  • The Treat: Strawberry Cheesecake Filled Muffin ($2.59*)
  • The Vibe: A pink, Sakura-inspired nod to the spring season.
  • The Location: 11700 Bridgeport Rd (at No. 4 Rd), Richmond, BC.
  • The Pro-Tip: Best paired with a plain black coffee or tea to cut through the sweetness of the filling.

A "Sakura" Aesthetic with a Medicinal Twist

Walking up to the counter, the bakery display was as usual but with an undeniably pretty pink on the top shelf. The Strawberry Cheesecake Muffin is a vibrant pink, immediately reminding me of the Sakura (cherry blossom) season that hits Vancouver this time of year. It looked like the perfect "love letter" to spring.

The muffin base itself was a pleasant surprise; it was moist and had a gentle, genuine strawberry taste throughout the cake. However, the experience shifted once I reached the centre.

The Filling: Hit or Miss?

Inside, there is a bright white "cheesecake" filling. While I was hoping for a tangy, creamy hit of real cheesecake flavour, this was a bit of a letdown. To me, the filling tasted quite artificial, bordering on a medicinal strawberry flavour that overwhelmed the nice texture of the muffin.

A closer look at that vibrant interior. While the muffin base was surprisingly moist, the white "cheesecake" centre had an artificial, medicinal strawberry flavour that missed the mark.

As you can see in the photo, the inside is a shockingly bright pink, almost a neon red, which definitely leans into that artificial vibe I felt while tasting it.

The muffin feels like a spring dream on the outside, but the filling is a bit of a pharmaceutical nightmare.

Final Verdict: Should You Buy It?

If you are looking for a beautiful, "Instagrammable" snack for a spring picnic, the aesthetic of this muffin is hard to beat. However, if you're sensitive to artificial fruit flavours, you might find this one a little cloying.

After our quick Richmond coffee date, we headed off to meet the family for my sister's birthday dinner: a much more successful culinary highlight to cap off the weekend!
