We were supposed to have Irish food tonight because, apparently, Halloween started in Ireland.  However, we couldn't find a good restaurant that would deliver Irish food, and I suddenly became cold. I turned on the heater. Then, decided to order pho for the warm soup. One of the reasons why I created this blog is to remember what I ate from different restaurants. It's been helpful today. I remember we have tried Puffcream in the past, but I can't remember which one we've tried, so I open this blog on my phone and searched for Puffcream. Apparently, I have tried the Old Fashioned, so today we know we have to try something else. Essentially, a Puffcream is a freshly baked cream puff served with soft-serve ice cream. The toppings are different depending on which one you pick. Today, picked "Hubby." "Hubby" Puffcream - hard shell chocolate sauce, pretzels, and peanut butter My hubby holding the Hubby Puffcream. Yummy! I love the contrast between the crunchy and salty pretzels and soft-serve ice cream. I also ordered shoestring fries, which were crispy and perfect with the Puffcream. Yay for the weekend!

Yesterday was my last day at work. Today, I dropped by the office to return my equipment. Afterwards, we grabbed lunch from Granville Island Public Market and ate it by the water. Everything is beautiful and amazing until a seagull attacked. Thankfully, I was able to protect my precious pizza. Clear day and the beautiful view while enjoying Pizza from Pizza Pzazz. For our second lunch, I ordered from my favourite stall from the Granville Island Public Market - Gourmet Wok. I love the kung pao chicken, pork BBQ, and fried fish. My first full-time job in Canada is located in the building by the entrance of Granville Island. Thus, from 2016 until the pandemic, I visited the Granville Island Public Market minimum four times a week. My work is also the reason why we looked for an apartment to rent within a kilometre walk of Granville Island. My parents went inside our apartment for the first time ever. They usually drop off things, but they don't go inside. Today was different just because my brother needed to use the Healthy Wave Mat I have to relieve the wrist pain he's feeling. Anyway, after an hour at home, we all went to have lunch at Sushivan. We ordered a lot and my mom is happy with how delicious everything was. Spider Special Roll (Crab Meat, Cucumber, Avocado, Lettuce, Soft Shell Crab, and Tobiko) I still think the Awesome Special Roll is the best of the four I have tried so far. It's my 5th anniversary in Canada, so for lunch today, we decided to order from a Canadian fast-food chain, Triple O. Two Burger Combo from Triple O's (yay for milkshakes) Monty Mushroom Burger Chipotle BBQ Bacon Melt Between the two burgers, I will order the Chipotle BBQ Bacon Melt again. The crispy bacon provided a different texture to the burger, and in comparison, the Monty Mushroom Burger fell short. My favourite side is their Garlic Parmesan Fries! Yay for Triple O's burger delivery and, more importantly, milkshakes.

We're celebrating our wedding anniversary today and I asked hubby what does he want. He picked pasta, so we ordered from Basil Pasta Bar. Pasta Feast I love their container Spaghetti Carbonara with extra meat, extra cheese, and extra meatballs. Spaghetti carbonara made with Parmesan cream sauce, crispy smoked bacon, egg yolk, and peas. It's probably my fault for customizing and adding extra cheese and meat. It made the whole thing saltier than I like. However, the consistency of the sauce is perfect compared to the ones I have tried from Olive Garden which is too heavy and Domino's which is too watered down. BC Smoked Salmon Fettuccine Combo with extra cheese and extra meat. BC smoked salmon fettuccine made with Alfredo sauce, smoked salmon, red onions, capers, tomatoes, and spinach. My parents went to Costco and purchased some things for us. As a thank-you, we had lunch at Redbeef Noodle Kitchen. I have been wanting to bring them here since I know my dad loves noodle soup like pho and ramen. I ordered my usual and I think I will keep ordering it. I kinda wish I can order Taiwanese-style sausage on the side. For dinner tonight I wanted falafel and mixed plate which is something we had from Rayhan less than two weeks ago. I searched SkipTheDishes and found Donair Dude. As always, we ordered a lot and we end up having leftovers which we will enjoy tomorrow. Beef Pita Donair Hubby had a beef pita donair with everything in it except the hot sauce and we even added extra chicken. The falafel is soft and surprisingly delicious. Falafel I think I am going through a donair phase. I might order again from a different restaurant soon.

Happy Saturday! Since it's starting to get colder, we decided to have ramen delivered from Jinya Ramen Bar. I also ordered one of all my favourite dishes that they have available. It's a happy day! Our Ramen Feast Ramen For our ramen, hubby ordered Jinya Tonkotsu Black Ramen with thick noodles. Meanwhile, I picked Spicy Umami Miso Ramen with thick noodles and extra chashu. Yummy! I love my ramen bowl and hubby liked his too. My delicious Spicy Umami Miso Ramen with extra chashu. Pork broth, ground pork soboro, bean sprouts, green onions, bok choy, and chili oil. We ran errands in Downtown today. For lunch, I asked hubby if there's anything he would like; he said that since we're celebrating his third year in Canada, we should eat Canadian food. The only dish that came to mind is poutine. There are a handful of poutine places in Downtown; Smoke's Poutinerie is our usual go-to, but they were closed, so we decided to try Mean Poutine. Mean Supreme Mean Supreme - Crispy fries, brown gravy, fresh cheese curds, certified Angus roast beef, double smoked bacon, grilled onions & peppers and mushrooms He picked Mean Supreme, while I had Philly Cheese Steak. The best part about both? The certified Angus roast beef. It's so good! The fries were crispy too; the gravy was a bit salty for my liking, though. However, the serving is huge! I enjoy (most of the time) watching the Whitecaps FC, so for dinner tonight we ordered from one of their sponsors (or partners, not really sure what their deal is), A&W. Cheddar Bacon Uncle® Burger Mozza Burger®  Yay for fast food. Between the two burgers, I prefer the Uncle because of the pickle - it provided a much-needed acidity to the juicy burger.
