Dinner Celebration from Basil Pasta Bar

We're celebrating our wedding anniversary today and I asked hubby what does he want. He picked pasta, so we ordered from Basil Pasta Bar.

Spaghetti Carbonara with extra meat, extra cheese, and extra meatballs.
Spaghetti carbonara made with Parmesan cream sauce, crispy smoked bacon, egg yolk, and peas.

It's probably my fault for customizing and adding extra cheese and meat. It made the whole thing saltier than I like. However, the consistency of the sauce is perfect compared to the ones I have tried from Olive Garden which is too heavy and Domino's which is too watered down.

Similar regret with adding extra cheese and meat as it made the dish saltier than what it would have been. Otherwise, still delicious.

Vegetable Minestrone Soup
A thick soup made with vegetables.

We ordered soup because it's a cold night and a soup seems like the perfect dish to have, but I realized I"m not a fan of tomato-based soup.
