| ⭐ Smooch Verdict: | A solid and delicious food court option! The flame-kissed, charred meats steal the show with their juicy texture and deep flavours, making it a perfect, comforting stop when you are near Metrotown. |
Happy Tuesday! Today turned out to be a bit of an unusual day for me because I had to head out for an ultrasound appointment over near Metrotown. Once the medical errand was out of the way, we naturally found ourselves wandering into the bustling mall food court for lunch. We decided to try one of the very last few remaining food stalls we had not checked off our list yet: Cazba Persian Grill.
As with any Mediterranean or Middle Eastern spot, if dolmades ($7.99) are available on the menu, I am absolutely going to order them. It is just an unwritten rule of mine! Cazba's version arrived warm and comforting. However, they were not quite as tart and tangy as I usually prefer. It really made me wonder if the traditional Egyptian version of stuffed grape leaves is the one that gives you that ultimate, mouth-puckering tartness I keep craving.

For our main platters, I opted for the Chicken Breast Jujeh Saffron ($17.99). I thoroughly enjoyed it! There is something so special about chicken that has been gently kissed by an open flame. The grill brings out a wonderful, smoky char while keeping the inside beautifully juicy and tender.

Hubby decided to order their number 3 combo, the ground beef and lamb mix Loghmeh ($18.99). Between the two meats, the lamb was the absolute clear winner of the meal. It possessed that distinct, deeper, and more robust meat flavour that completely stands out and excels when it is properly grilled over fire.

The portions at Cazba are massive, so of course I could not finish all of my rice in one sitting. I was more than happy to pack up the remaining grains to bring home for a future meal. It makes for the perfect quick leftover lunch!
