🍳 Last Day Luxury: Breakfast at Histórico Central Hotel
| Location: | Histórico Central Hotel Restaurant |
| Our Picks: | Omelette Ligero & Custom Huevos y Omelettes al Gusto |
| Hotel Perk: | Complimentary 24/7 guest café with snacks, soup, salad, and hot drinks! |
I cannot believe it is already our last full day in Mexico City! Time has absolutely flown by, but we are determined to make the most of every final second. We started our morning right downstairs with the complimentary breakfast at the Histórico Central Hotel restaurant, and let me tell you, for a free hotel breakfast, this spread was absolutely perfect.
After my stomach adventures over the last couple of days, I decided to lean into the healthiest option on the menu and ordered the Omelette Ligero. It was a beautiful, clean plate featuring light egg whites filled to the brim with earthy, sautéed mushrooms, served alongside a colourful side of perfectly steamed vegetables. To round it out, I asked for a couple of pieces of toast with a bit of butter, making for a beautifully balanced, wholesome start to the morning.

Hubby went in the complete opposite direction and ordered the Huevos y Omelettes al gusto, opting to get it loaded with absolutely everything available! His omelette was stuffed with ham, crispy bacon, savoury sausage, cheese, tomato, onion, mushrooms, and spinach. As if that was not filling enough, it came paired with a classic side of smooth refried beans topped with crispy tortilla chips.

Can we talk about another massive reason why I am completely in love with the Histórico Central Hotel? They offer free food 24/7 for all staying guests! They have a lovely little coffee shop area located right inside the hotel that stays open around the clock.
Whenever you want to pop in, you can grab fresh sandwiches, warm comforting soup, crisp salads, and a full assortment of hot drinks. It is incredibly convenient, especially when you are returning from a long walking tour or just need a quiet mid-afternoon pick-me-up without having to hunt down a café. It has truly made our stay here feel so welcoming and comfortable!
