Note: A handwritten "50% off pies & rolls" sign was up at the counter, so we paid $5.95 for the pie and $5.45 for the sausage roll ($11.40 total). Prices are in AUD.
Verdict: Both were excellent. If you only try one thing after security at Sydney International, go with the steak pie.
What an adventure! Our flight from Melbourne to Sydney was delayed by more than an hour, and we had a connecting flight from Sydney to Vancouver to catch. When we landed in Sydney, we got priority disembarkation and ran to Gate 15. That meant the transfer from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1, security and immigration, all in a rush.
We arrived at our gate at exactly 7:35 PM, which was boarding time, but thankfully (?) the flight was delayed by 20 minutes. That gave us a chance to grab a quick bite from the food court common area.
Chunky Steak Pie ($11.90 regular, $5.95 at 50% off)
Our last bite of food in Australia for this trip was the chunky steak pie from Campos. The reason we got it? A handwritten sign at the counter said 50% off pies and rolls, which brought it down from $11.90 to $5.95. Lol. The golden, flaky pastry is topped with crunchy black sesame seeds and filled with tender chunks of slow-cooked beef in a rich, savoury gravy. It was excellent, and I am a happy camper.

Angus Beef Sausage Roll ($10.90 regular, $5.45 at 50% off)
We also shared the Angus beef sausage roll, which was also 50% off, so it came to $5.45 instead of $10.90. It has a crisp, flaky, buttery pastry wrapped around a juicy, well-seasoned beef filling. It was excellent too.

Final Thoughts
I guess if you have one thing to try in the Sydney International food court after security, go with the steak pie, and pair it with a hot coffee or tea depending on your mood. The 50% off sign may not always be up, so prices may be higher when you visit. It was a tasty, last-minute end to our Australian adventure. Prices are in AUD.
