If you are a frequent reader of this blog (which might just be my husband and hopefully my mom!), you know that my days are usually a whirlwind. I am a team lead for a health tech company here in Vancouver, and with our team growing, Thursday was a particularly busy one.

I started my 10:00 AM block at the Caffè Artigiano in the Telus Garden lobby. Between 1:1s with my direct reports and a coffee catch-up (interview) for a potential new team member, my head was completely focused on the work ahead. This was my first meal of the day: a necessary breakfast to power through a high-energy morning.

The Art of a Working Breakfast

I ordered the Grilled Cheese Sourdough ($8.25) and a Matcha Latte ($6.15). In the rush of the morning, I completely forgot to ask for my usual oat milk and unsweetened version. The matcha arrived vibrant, green, and pretty, though it was a little sweeter than I intended!

The interview went so well that the conversation just kept flowing. By the time I could take a real bite, the latte and sandwich had both gone cold. It is a classic "busy professional" bummer, but the food still held its own.

A vibrant, green start to a high-energy morning. Even though I forgot to ask for my usual oat milk, this sweet and pretty matcha was exactly the caffeine hug I needed to power through 1:1s and interviews.

Sourdough Sentiments

The Grilled Cheese Sourdough was impressively cheesy. Even though the crust had hardened a bit from sitting out, you could tell the bread was high-quality. The sourdough had that signature tang that paired so well with the melted centre. I don't want to judge it too harshly for the temperature: that was my own fault for being so engaged in an amazing conversation!

The ultimate profesionnal's breakfast. This sourdough had a signature, tangy crust and an impressively cheese centre. It may have gone a little cold while we talked about work, but the high-quality bread still made every bite a total win.

Menu Highlights (2026 Pricing)

Whether you are interviewing your next rockstar hire or just need a quiet corner to answer morning emails, here is the data for this location:

Despite the cold crust and the extra sugar, this meal was a win. Finding a potential new team member who is "amazing" is definitely a smooch-worthy moment in its own right. Next time, I’ll remember the oat milk!
