Mr. Sushi Review: The Comforting Oyako Don Bowl and 20-Piece Maki Combo

I had absolutely no plans of eating out today, but there was a casual sexism comment dropped during a meeting that completely rattled me. It is amazing how words can just throw off your entire day. Needing a safe space to reset and find some comfort, my husband and I decided to head over to Mr. Sushi.

There is something so grounding about a reliable local spot when you need to shake off a bad day. My husband ordered the Oyako Don ($15.50), which turned out to be absolutely great. It was a steaming, savoury bowl of pure comfort.

For my meal, I went with the Maki Combo ($15.95), which features a classic lineup of a California roll, a salmon roll, and a tuna roll. It was so incredibly good! Plus, it comes out to a whopping 20 pieces in total, making it an absolute win for value.

I genuinely love Mr. Sushi, and I am always so grateful for how close it is to us when we need a last-minute pick-me-up. Good food and good company have a way of putting the world back into perspective.
