Onda by Casereccio Gelato Review: The Best Dark Chocolate in Vancouver

🍦 Sweet Rewards: Onda by Casereccio

📍 Location: Onda by Casereccio (Vancouver)
🍫 Flavours: Rich Dark Chocolate & Nutty Pistachio
💰 Price: $7.30 per single scoop

Today was all about tackling a few quick errands, including stopping by the pharmacy to grab some fresh medical dressing for my wound. After getting the tedious tasks out of the way and before heading back home to settle in, Hubby and I decided we deserved a little treat. We made a spontaneous detour to Onda by Casereccio for some artisanal gelato, and oh my goodness, it completely blew us away!

I opted for a scoop of their dark chocolate gelato served on a crispy waffle cone. From the very first bite, I was completely speechless—it is hands down the absolute best gelato I have ever tasted in my life (so far). The texture is unbelievably smooth, and it packs a remarkably deep, intense chocolate flavour that isn't masked by too much sweetness. It seriously made me stop and wonder: is gelato supposed to taste this incredible?

Hubby went in a different direction and chose the pistachio flavour, which turned out to be equally spectacular. It delivers a beautifully strong, authentic roasted pistachio flavour that hits you right away. At $7.30 for a single scoop, it definitely leans on the more expensive side for a casual frozen treat, but the exceptional premium quality and pure ingredients make it worth every single penny.

It turned out to be the perfect little pick-me-up sweet treat to salvage our busy Sunday afternoon errand run.
