📍 New Spot Alert: The Den
| Location: | 608 West Broadway |
| Sandwich Pick: | Pesto Grove Chicken ($14.99) |
| Hubby's Pick: | The Den Premium ($16.99) |
Today was definitely one of those "long day" kinds of days. After nearly 6 hours of Mental Health First Aid training followed by a full afternoon of work, I was absolutely exhausted. Since my work day started at 6:00 am and did not wrap up until almost 4:00 pm, the last thing I wanted to do was cook!
We ended up running errands to prep for our upcoming trip to Mexico City (which I am so excited about!), and while we were in the area, we spotted a new spot at 608 West Broadway. It used to be a milk tea shop, but it has officially transformed into The Den, a dedicated sandwich and juice bar. Since I’m currently in a major sandwich phase, there was no way I was skipping the chance to try it out.
The sandwiches here are huge! We ended up packing half of both sandwiches away immediately in plastic wraps so we could enjoy them for breakfast tomorrow morning.

I opted for the Pesto Grove Chicken ($14.99) as it felt like the best choice for my current health goals. It is served on a Focaccia bun with chicken, cheddar, Tuscan lettuce, and a pesto yogurt sauce. While the bread itself was a bit stale and not the absolute best, the chicken on mine was incredibly tender, and I absolutely loved the crisp, fresh lettuce. The real highlight, though, was the bite with a generous serving of that pesto yogurt sauce, which was such a delicious surprise!

That said, the real showstopper of the night was Hubby's order: The Den Premium ($16.99). It is an absolute powerhouse of a sandwich.

I absolutely loved the combination of different premium cold cuts: they layer Peruvian Jamon, Beef and Pistachio Jamon, and Chicken and Mushroom Jamon inside a French baguette. It is topped with fresh lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and a handful of crispy potato sticks. Those potato sticks are such a brilliant addition, adding a wonderfully addictive crunch to every single bite!

To wash it all down, we grabbed a couple of their fresh-pressed juices. I ordered the Green Rush ($11.99), which is a refreshing blend of green apple, kiwi, cucumber, lemon juice, mint, and honey. Hubby opted for the vibrant, tropical Mango Slush ($10.99), which blends mango, pineapple, coconut water, orange juice, and lime juice. Both were incredibly fresh and the perfect antidote to a long, exhausting day.

We’re already studying the menu to figure out what we want to try next time we visit. Honestly, though? I’d be perfectly happy ordering The Den Premium all over again.
