Happy Thursday! I decided to treat myself to a little work setup upgrade and grab an external monitor. With all the testing I've been running through lately, extra screen space went from a nice-to-have to a necessity! We popped over to the nearby Best Buy and picked up the simplest, most wallet-friendly monitor available.
After wrapping up at Best Buy, we took a slow stroll down Granville Street. It’s still car-free right now, which makes walking through downtown feel so relaxed and lively. Since I had previously visited Chit Chat Burger during a company event and my husband hadn't tried it yet, we decided to drop in for dinner.
Dinner at Chit Chat Burger
We ordered their Classic Burger, the Viva La Granville Burger, and a side of Garlic Fries. They were running a great promotion while we were there: you could get the Classic Burger paired with fries for just $15.99 (the burger alone normally retails for $14.49). The Viva La Granville came to $15.99, and the Garlic Fries were $9.49.

The Classic Burger at Chit Chat Burger ($15.99 meal promo).
The Classic Burger was decent. It is a straightforward, reliable burger. If these are meant to lean into the smash burger style, I think I personally still prefer a traditional, thick, juicy patty! I definitely need to hunt down an incredible, top-tier smash burger in Vancouver so I can finally understand what all the hype is about.

Viva La Granville Burger ($15.99) loaded with fresh avocado and jalapeƱos.
The Viva La Granville was definitely the winning burger between the two! The creamy sliced avocado, ripe tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and kick of pickled jalapeƱos brought a much welcome layer of flavour and texture.

Crispy, thick-cut Garlic Fries ($9.49) topped generously with parmesan, parsley, and ranch.
Now, let's talk about the real star of the evening: the fries! Both their regular fries and the Garlic Fries were absolute perfection. They cut them thick (almost like steak wedges), so the insides remain pillow-soft while the exteriors get crisp. The Garlic Fries come heaped with a generous shower of minced garlic, fresh parsley, salty parmesan cheese, and a rich drizzle of ranch dressing. They were unbelievably good!
