Dinner delivery from Pacific Poke

It's my first time trying Poke. I have seen a lot of Poke restaurants opening up here in Vancouver and I have watched a Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode about it, but that's the limit of my exposure. Oh and my brother went to Hawaii and absolutely love the dish.

I was hesitant to order Poke, but I am letting SkipTheDishes decide my meals for today (check this blog post).

Our very first Poke Bowls EVER.

The Main Bowl - Salmon, spicy ahi tuna, crab and shrimp, ginger jicama, avocado nori, seaweed salad, citrus mayonnaise, and sesame miso dressing. I picked Brown Rice as my base.

There's no denying the bowl looks beautiful. I mixed it up and started eating my heart away. It's delicious, however, I have reached a point where's the creaminess from the mayonnaise and dressing is too much I need spice or citrus to brighten it up.
I couldn't finish my bowl. I told hubby that next time we should just order one bowl and share it.

The Cali Bowl - Spicy salmon, crab and shrimp, pickled red onions, seaweed salad, avocado nori, and spicy mayonnaise.

I thought my bowl is delicious, but when I tried what hubby chose, darn. The Cali Bowl is even better! What's the primary difference-maker? The crunch provided by Furikake, Wasabi Crunch, and Fried Onions. The varying texture in his bowl as well as the pickled red onions made all the difference in the world.
We went overboard and ordered all their desserts as well as their Coco Panda drink.

The Coco Panda is like the creamy coconut juice we grew up enjoying back in the Philippines. Meanwhile, for the desserts they offered - you can never really go wrong with Chewy Marshmallow Crispy Bar and cookies.

Happy Saturday!
