Where to get Buko Pie in Vancouver?

I am craving for Filipino buko pie, but I don't know where's the best place to get one that will deliver to our home. I asked the Facebook group I belong to and below are their suggestions: Vancouver Restaurants with Buko Pie Kumare Restaurant and Bakery - They have a branch in Richmond, Delta, and Vancouver. Hapag Ihaw Ihaw Filipino Grill - Two people, recommended the buko pie from Hapag. They're located in Victoria Drive, Vancouver. Aling Mary's - They're located in Main Street, Vancouver, and I have ordered a buko pie from them in the past, but I know they don't deliver. Home-Based Online Vendor with Buko Pie Pinay Bakes - Facebook page - Two people recommended their buko pie. Ruby Lyn Dacanay - She's the first one to send me a private message and pictures of the buko pie, and it looks great. Do you know of other places in Vancouver that serve buko pie? Leave a comment

Dinner delivery from Subway

I enjoyed this meal last
We watched Touch Your Heart Korean series, and they kept eating at Subway. 🥪 Because of the series and because Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills both lost their games today, I need to stress eat, so we ordered from Subway.

Hubby ordered a 6" Chicken and Bacon Ranch Sub Melt Combo with two White Chip Macadamia Nut Cookies and  Brisk® Lemon Iced Tea. I picked Chicken Caesar Large Wrap with Savory Caesar sauce. I prefer the Chipotle Steak & Guac Wrap last time.

Lunch delivery from Klasik Inasal and Noodle Express

Happy Tuesday! It's rare for us to have anything delivered on a weekday, but well we have no viand to go with our rice so might as well order Filipino food. Last week, we had Chinese cuisine which goes well with rice, this week it's Filipino food. I have ordered from Klasik Inasal in the past and I ordered three same dishes: Shanghai Roll, Pork BBQ Skewer, and Eggplant Omelette ( Tortang Talong ). 2 orders of Pork BBQ Skewer and I apparently made a mistake and only ordered one serving of deep-fried Shanghai roll Eggplant Omelette (Tortang Talong)   Party Tray I ordered two viand (ulam) so we have something to eat for the rest of the week. Hubby kept saying will two be enough for the rest of the week. He doubts my food budgeting skills lol. I understand his hesitation since the "party tray" we ord

Dream Donuts 2021 from Tim Hortons

Happy Thursday! It's also National Lego Day! I ordered a "4 Privet Drive" Harry Potter Lego Set and got two free items. Unfortunately, FedEx didn't ring our doorbell or gave us a call when it tried to deliver it to our place, so we had to pick it up at the closest FedEx pickup point. Since it's National Lego Day, we decided to pick it up today. We also decided to grab donuts from Tim Hortons before heading home. Hubby requested that I get any limited edition donuts that they have. Looking at the menu, they're promoting the "Dream Donuts," and I got both Chocolate Hazelnut Éclair Dream and Sea Salted Caramel Dream. Chocolate Hazelnut Éclair Dream I enjoyed both donuts. It's surprisingly not stale. It's soft, and the filling inside the Ã‰clair is delicious. I am willing to get it again. Sea Salted Caramel Dream The Sea Salted Caramel Dream is good, but not as delicious as the eclair. At least, it wasn't stale like the Dream Donuts from last

Lunar New Year Lunch delivery from Grand Chinese Restaurant (Yaletown)

Happy Lunar New Year! We ordered our favourite Chinese dishes for lunch today from a new restaurant - Grand Chinese Restaurant in Yaletown. Beef Rolls We love beef rolls! The best one is still from Peaceful Restaurant , but this comes a close second. What's the difference? This one has a thicker wrap, but the beef and sauce are as delicious. Xiao Long Bao It's hard to judge the Xiao Long Bao when it's delivered and not fresh from a restaurant kitchen, but it's still good. Pan-Fried Pork Buns Inside of the Pan-Fried Pork Buns I discovered that I prefer pan-fried pork buns over steamed ones. However, this one has more dough than filling.  Shanghai-style Chow Mein This is my favourite dish from Grand Chinese Restaurant and I give this the "award" of becoming my favourite Shanghai-style chow men. It's slightly sweet but has that great flavour. I don't think I have tried a Shanghai-style chow mein which I will crave and would want to eat again. Dan Dan Nood

Lunch at Chipotle

We walked 30 minutes to the closest Chipotle and had our fill of the huge burrito and chicken quesadilla. I'm happy. Huge Burrito! The burrito is so big, we had to share it. Chicken Quesadilla Amazing service! After lunch, we walked back home to "burn" calories.

Lunch at Redbeef Noodle Kitchen

I have been eating Redbeef every month this year (given - it's only February). We went to Costco today and I asked my parents where they want to eat and my dad LOVES Redbeef Noodle Kitchen. I treat my parents to restaurants I love in Vancouver and Redbeef is the only one that my dad loves (others are so-so for him). Of course, I am more than happy to treat them to delicious food and spend quality time. Chicken Cutlet Rice One thing you should know about me by now is I am consistent with the food I order from my favourite restaurants. As expected, I ordered my favourite Chicken Cutlet Rice and a side of salt & pepper popcorn chicken. Spicy Beef Noodle Soup My brother ordered the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. The meat looks tender and the noodles has a nice bite and texture, but the soup doesn't penetrate the noodles as much. Pan-fried Beef Wraps The Pan-Fried Beef Wrap is my mom's favourite so I got two orders to make sure we'll be able to eat some. Last time she finished

Yummy, Fluffy Ensaymada from Kaye Bakes

Last month, I ordered Ube Cake from Kaye Bakes . It was so delicious! I was telling my dad about it, who arrived nearly a month ago from the Philippines (yes, he completed his 14-day quarantine period, and he's healthy as can be which makes all of us happy). He said, " Baka si Kaye from Winnipeg ang binilhan mo." (Maybe you purchased from Kaye who we knew from Winnipeg). Apparently, they have a Couple's for Chris mentee in their two years in Winnipeg, who also moved to BC after 4 years. Ensaymada I contacted Kaye Bakes to ask if they have Cassava Cake because my mom is requesting for it. I also awkwardly ask if they lived in Winnipeg because my parents new a Kaye that loves to bake from there who moved to BC. She said, yes we lived in Winnipeg. I told her my parents' name, and yes, she's the friend my dad is referring to—such a small world. Ensaymada from Kaye Bakes I didn't know they knew each other when I ordered Ube Cake last month!
