Barbacoa Tacos Lunch Special: A Patrón Tacos & Cantina Favourite

Last Thursday, our team's "Mexican Cuisine" theme led us back to our old favourite: Patrón Tacos & Cantina. There’s something so fun about a company-paid lunch here; it’s a personal documentation of good food and even better company. To God be the glory for these moments of rest and generous company paid meals.

The Lunch Special: $19.95 (plus tax & tip)
Includes a choice of Soup or Salad, 2 Tacos, Mexican Rice, and Refried Beans.

In an effort to stay mindful of my health goals, I opted for the Caesar Salad to start. It arrived beautifully dressed—perhaps a bit too generously for a strict diet, but every bite of those crunchy croutons and savoury cheese felt like a small treat.

"The Barbacoa Tacos are a revelation. Slow-roasted lamb, tender and singing with spices, topped with the sharp bite of fresh onion and cilantro. One squeeze of lime, and the flavours just dance. It was so juicy, so tender, that two tacos honestly didn't feel like enough."

The sides of Mexican rice and beans were the perfect supporting cast. I have a deep, sentimental love for refried beans—they are the ultimate comfort food. While the Quesabirria and Volcanes de Asada are still holding onto the top spots on my leaderboard, this Barbacoa is a very strong contender and a new favourite."

Leaving Patrón always feels like saying goodbye to a dear friend. There is such comfort in a meal that never lets you down, especially when shared with a team that makes the workday brighter. It was a truly smooch-worthy lunch, leaving me already planning my next visit to check another item off my list. Until next time, Patrón!
