A Sunday Visit to Cafe & Life Co. Vancouver

Happy Sunday! After morning Mass and a pancake brunch at church, we decided to hang out at Cafe & Life Co. at their location on West 7th Ave near Cambie. We’re just passing the time until 7:00 pm when we head over to the Richmond Night Market.

The Drinks: Uji vs. Strawberry O-Matcha

I ordered an unsweetened Uji Matcha Latte with oat milk. Even though I asked for no sugar, the oat milk gives it a natural hint of sweetness.

My Uji Matcha Latte ($6.75). Even with no added sugar, the oat milk makes it feel like a cozy, slightly sweet treat.

Hubby went with the House Special O-Matcha (cold). It is essentially a strawberry matcha latte and absolutely beautiful to look at. The combination of tart, sweet strawberry syrup and bitter green tea makes for a really balanced flavour.

The Treats: Perfectly Flaky Croissants

You can’t have a latte without a little something on the side. I paired mine with a plain butter croissant. We requested it to be heated, so it was soft on the inside with that expected crunch on top.

The classic butter croissant ($4.75). It was perfectly flaky—exactly what you want for a slow Sunday afternoon.

Hubby chose the double baked almond croissant, which was also warmed through. There’s something about a warm almond pastry that just feels like the ultimate Sunday treat.

Hubby’s pick: the double-baked almond croissant ($6.25). Pro tip: always ask them to warm it up so the middle gets soft and the nuts get extra toasted.

Now, we're just relaxing and fueling up before the night market crowds!
