⭐ Smooch Verdict: A pass for non-vegans, unless you stick to the fries and milkshakes.

Happy Saturday! We have been happily holed up at home watching a Chinese drama lately, but after heading out to attend the Anticipated Sunday Mass at St. Pat's, we decided to finally give Odd Burger a try.

If you haven't heard of it yet, Odd Burger is a vegan fast-food chain that is essentially trying to be the McDonald's of the plant-based world.

Hubby chose the Crispy Famous Burger ($10.49), which is clearly modeled after a Big Mac. It was a perfectly satisfying burger overall, though of course, it misses that signature juiciness and distinct beefy taste of the real deal.

I went for the BBQ Grilled Chickun Sandwich ($9.99). The BBQ sauce itself was absolute excellence! The texture of the "chickun" surprisingly resembled actual poultry, but I did notice a strange aftertaste on my very first bite. It eventually faded as I kept eating, but it was a bit off-putting initially. As expected for a grilled item, it wasn't crispy, and looking closely at the inside, it definitely had a jackfruit-like appearance.

We also ordered a side of Onion Rings ($6.99). Honestly? They were just fine, but nothing to write home about. My real advice? Skip them and just head to A&W if you want better ones!

The Onion Rings—perfectly fine, but they won't compete with your local A&W favorites.

Lastly, we shared the Smoky Pulled Jack Tater Tot Poutine ($14.49). The tater tots themselves were great, but the shredded fake meat on top (meant to mimic pulled pork) missed the mark for me. I just wasn't a fan of the flavor or texture.

Overall, because I am not vegan, I most likely won't be back on my own accord. If I ever have to return, I'll probably just stick to a side of fries and one of their milkshakes. Otherwise, there are plenty of alternative restaurants right along Main Street serving up much better food!
