Tim Hortons Lemon Blueberry Tart Review

The hunt is over. This is what the fuss is all about.

I love Tims and keep the app on my phone primarily to track their new featured items. Today started with a simple craving for a blueberry muffin with my lunch, so I checked the "Seasonal" section of the menu. Nothing new.

Since it’s Cinco de Mayo, we had tacos for dinner, but afterwards, I really wanted a sweet drink. We ended up at Tims again, and when I opened the app to check the menu, there it was: the Lemon Blueberry Tart ($2.69 CAD) sitting right at the top of the list.

Mind-blown.🤯

We actually had to go to two different Tim Hortons locations to find it, but we finally hit the jackpot at the second stop.

Hitting the jackpot at store number two. The sign confirms the crucial specs: $2.69 and 280 calories.

The Review: Why It’s Different

I’ve tried almost all of their recent tarts: the Pecan Butter, the classic Butter Tart, and the Custard Tart. This is the only one that isn't too sweet.

You can already see how flaky that crust is just looking at it in the bag.
  • The Price: $2.69 CAD
  • The Calories: 280 calories
  • The Crust: It’s surprisingly flaky, unlike previous Tims tarts I’ve had.
  • The Flavour: It’s very "tarty," which I absolutely love. The blueberry centre has a bit of that "fake" flavour, but the sharp tartness of the lemon wins.

Overall, it is a perfect palate cleanser after a taco dinner. If you see it on your app, grab it while it's still in the seasonal rotation!
