Canada just won 6-nil earlier today! Woot! It is their first World Cup win and they managed it in such an absolutely dominating fashion right here in Vancouver. The energy in the city was incredible.
Afterwards, my husband and I decided to keep the sports excitement going by heading over to hang out at Fionn MacCool's so we could catch the Mexico versus Korea game.
They feature a special food menu specifically for game days, so we decided to split the $40 Crowd Pleaser platter. It comes loaded up with calamari, 1lb of chicken wings, spinach and artichoke dip, and crispy wagyu gyoza dumplings. Honestly, the dumplings were by far the best part, especially when paired with their dipping sauce. Otherwise, the rest of the platter felt absolutely mediocre.

Unfortunately, the spinach and artichoke dip was just not good at all, which sadly set the tone for the rest of the food experience. My husband mentioned that we should probably give it another try when the World Cup rush is over so we can test out their normal, everyday menu, which is hopefully a bit better.
