⭐ Smooch Verdict: An intense, spice-filled fusion menu that demands a return visit. While the unique curry sauces offer an adventurous flavour profile, the classic combination of crispy potato patties and melted cheese steals the show.

Happy Friday! We started our evening with a practical little walk over to London Drugs to restock on dressing and saline wash. Once the errands were sorted, the real fun began. For dinner, we decided to continue our walking trend and head over to try out Indian Burger Joint at their Terminal Avenue location.

Stepping inside, we were greeted by a menu that is admittedly quite intense. There are so many unique options that we felt completely unsure of what to get at first! After a bit of debating, hubby chose the Cheesy Aloo Chilli Burger and the Pav Bhaji Blast Classic Burger, which were priced at $12.95 each.

Both of these burgers feature a beautifully spiced potato patty nestled between soft buns along with fresh lettuce, onion, and cheese. Hubby's Pav Bhaji Blast came topped with a rich vegetable curry sauce. It was quite good, but it left a bit of a tart aftertaste that did not completely sit right with me.

The adventurous choice: The Pav Bhaji Blast classic burger.

On the other hand, the Cheesy Aloo Chilli burger was an absolute home run for me. This beauty is loaded with an extra layer of gloriously melted cheese and a sweet-and-spicy chilli garlic sauce. All of that rich, gooey, cheesy goodness works incredibly well with the savoury spiced potato patty. Every single bite was pure comfort.

My absolute favourite: The incredibly satisfying Cheesy Aloo Chilli burger.

To pair with our food, we chose two classic, vibrant beverages: a zesty zira lemonade and a refreshing guava panna. Both drinks added a lovely, tangy brightness that balanced out the rich profiles of the potato patties.

Of course, right at the very last minute while waiting at the till, I spotted a sign for vegetable samosas ($2.49 each). I naturally had to pick up a couple on impulse, and they turned out to be perfectly crispy.

Will I come back? Absolutely! There are simply so many other burger varieties and street food items left on their menu to explore. Afterwards, we spent some time walking around Mount Pleasant to burn off our dinner and completely unwind. It turned into a cool, clear spring evening, and catching up with hubby is always the best way to reset.
