Blaze Gourmet Burgers Brunch Review: The Ultimate Avocado Toast in Mount Pleasant

⚽ Game Day Brunch: Blaze Gourmet Burgers

📍 Location: Blaze Gourmet Burgers (Mount Pleasant, Vancouver)
🥑 Featured Dish: Not Another Avocado Toast ($18.95)
✨ The Verdict: Incredible comfort food to soften a tough match loss.

It was the big Round of 16 match today, and we were completely glued to the screen watching Canada play against Morocco. Sadly, it wasn't our day and Canada lost the match, but we managed to find the ultimate silver lining. We watched the game unfold at the Mount Pleasant location of Blaze Gourmet Burgers, and thankfully, the food was so incredibly good that it provided the perfect comfort despite the disappointing results on the screen.

Hubby decided on a hearty combination of a sweet Spanish Latte and the Steak and Eggs for his game-day meal. I was so caught up in the excitement of the match that I completely forgot to snap a photo of his plate before it disappeared!

For my dish, I ordered the beautifully named Not Another Avocado Toast ($18.95), and I can confidently say it is absolutely the best version of avocado toast I have ever tried in my life (so far). What truly elevates this dish and hits the spot is the addition of tangy pickled red onions and earthy golden beets. They balance so beautifully with the rich, creamy fresh avocado.

Two slices of artisan toast topped with bright green mashed avocado, vibrant pink pickled onions, golden beets, sprouts, and perfectly poached eggs with a drizzle of honey.
The stunning and delicious Not Another Avocado Toast platter.

The whole plate is rounded out with perfectly soft poached eggs, a sweet drizzle of honey, juicy pomegranate seeds, and a bright kick of lemon aioli on thick toast. It is incredibly flavourful and complex. Honestly, between their spectacular burgers and this breakfast masterpiece, I still haven't had a single bad bite at Blaze!
