It is the penultimate day of Fable Diner on the corner of Broadway and Main Street (151 E Broadway, Vancouver, BC V5T 1W1), and surprisingly, it was our very first time being here! With their final day of operation tomorrow (August 23, 2026), I was really hoping to try the FD Meatloaf, but they were already sold out for the night.
Instead, we decided to share the Bacon Jam Burger ($22.00), Spiced Togarashi Fries ($9.00), and an indulgent Chocolate Peanut Butter Milkshake ($11.00).
We were seated right at the bar with a full view of the kitchen and front-of-house staff interacting with each other. Watching the fast-paced intense energy immediately made me think of video games like Overcooked and Diner Dash! I absolutely love both games, so it was amusing to watch.
We have previously visited their sibling locations downtown and enjoyed a few fantastic dishes over the years:
The Final Dinner Spread
Let's dive into the food! The bacon jam on the Bacon Jam Burger is the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. Honestly, I would happily dip my fries in it and put it on everything! The burger patty was so juicy and served between ultra-soft buns.

The Spiced Togarashi Fries were great as well, but the accompanying ranch dipping sauce was deliciously kicky and spicy! It paired so remarkably well with what might just be the best milkshake ever.

That Chocolate Peanut Butter Milkshake was exceptional. It was thick, creamy, and packed a robust, rich peanut butter flavor. I am so bummed that I did not come in to experience their dinner menu sooner!
