Healthy Harvest Bowls & Nachos: A Smooch-Worthy Night at Brew Hall
After our sweet Valentine's adventure at Duffin's Donuts, hubby and I decided to keep the momentum going. We walked from 41st and Knight all the way to 2nd Avenue and Quebec for dinner at Brew Hall. Wandering through Vancouver with him is my favourite way to spend the afternoon, but this stroll felt particularly meaningful as we headed toward a place that has lived in the margins of our separate lives for years.
While Brewhall has been a part of our individual stories, with hubby attending a work event in 2021 and myself enjoying a night with friends in 2022, this was our very first time finally stepping through those doors together. There was something so sweet about returning as a pair to a place that once lived in our separate memories.
Every step of our 5km walk felt like a gift, allowing us to talk and dream while working toward my healthy goals. By the time we arrived, my heart was as full as my appetite.
Practical Bites & Prices
We settled into the vibrant atmosphere of the Olympic Village area. I was determined to stay disciplined with my weight loss journey, and the menu had the perfect solution. Here is what we enjoyed:
- Healthy Harvest Bowl ($23.00): This was surprisingly delicious. It featured sweet beets and carrots, salty halloumi, earthy kale, and crunchy broccoli over nutritious brown rice.
- Fully Loaded Nachos ($23.00): Hubby ordered my favourite snack! They were crispy and cheesy. I allowed myself just a few savoury chips to celebrate the day.

| Fully Loaded Nachos ($23.00): A savoury weakness shared with love. Enjoying a few bites allowed me to share in the joy of the meal while staying true to my health goals. |
A Satisfied Heart
I left the table in a happy food coma, feeling completely satisfied without any guilt. There is so much honour in choosing a meal that loves you back. It was the perfect end to our Valentine’s Day walkathon. To God be the glory for strong lungs and nourishing food!
