✨ At a Glance: Quick Facts

📍 Restaurant: Mr. Sushi
🍱 Ordered: Veggie Box ($18.50), Chicken Yakisoba ($13.95)
⭐ Smooch Verdict: Our ultimate go-to neighbourhood favourite delivers again. The Veggie Box is a phenomenal, nourishing option when you want something lighter, and the spinach gomae is an absolute must-order discovery!

Happy Friday! After spending a solid three hours nesting at Honolulu Coffee False Creek to work on the blog, Hubby and I decided that cooking dinner was absolutely not on the agenda for my day off.

Naturally, we headed straight to our neighbourhood favorite, Mr. Sushi. Since I was still feeling pretty content and full from the two massive sandwiches we split at the coffee shop earlier, I wanted something that felt a bit lighter. I opted for the Veggie Box ($18.50), which strikes the perfect balance of feeling healthy yet completely satisfying and delicious.

The beautifully varied Veggie Box ($18.50) featuring my new favorite spinach gomae.

My veggie box came packed with crispy tofu teriyaki, a fresh green salad, miso soup, a classic veggie roll, and four pieces of crispy veggie tempura. It also included spinach gomae, which was a brand-new discovery for me here! I absolutely love peanuts, and their rich, nutty sauce was so good that it's officially going on my permanent re-order list.

Hubby's comforting order: The Chicken Yakisoba, loaded with juicy grilled chicken and stir-fried veggies.

Hubby might have walked away with the better comfort-food deal, though! He went with the Chicken Yakisoba ($13.95). It is a beautiful mountain of stir-fried yakisoba noodles tossed with juicy, tender pieces of grilled chicken and plenty of fresh vegetables.
