Happy Sunday sunny morning! There is nothing quite like a bright, relaxed weekend start to clear the mind. For breakfast today, we headed over to Tim Hortons to check out a brand-new addition to their morning line-up: the Chipotle Veggie Croissant ($5.29 plus tax).
This is Tims' latest attempt at crafting a satisfying, morning breakfast vegetarian sandwich. So, what exactly is tucked inside? The sandwich features a toasted, beautifully buttery croissant loaded with a golden hash brown, juicy sliced tomato, fresh green lettuce, and a generous drizzle of their smoky chipotle sauce.

| A bite of pure comfort: The delicious layered contrast of soft pastry and crispy, savoury hash brown. |
Word of advice for this particular menu item: this is absolutely the type of food you need to eat right away. You want to dig in while everything is at its peak texture! I quite enjoyed the flavour profile, especially the lovely balance between the subtle sweetness of the golden croissant and the savoury oily hash brown nestled inside. It is pure comfort in a takeout box.
Because a pastry-and-potato combo is definitely carb-heavy, I made sure to pair mine with their egg bites on the side to get a necessary dose of morning protein. While indulging in this double-carb treat might not perfectly align with my long-term weight loss and health goals, it is an incredibly tempting weekend exception.

Will I order it again? Sure! If you are vegetarian, or simply hunting for a meatless breakfast option on a quick road trip, it is a pretty acceptable, budget-friendly sandwich that packs a lot of flavour.
