As it turned out, our comforting dinner at Mr. Sushi was not quite enough to completely shake off the day. Needing just a little extra sweetness to seal the evening, my husband and I walked over to the nearby Earnest Ice Cream. We lucked out completely because the line was surprisingly short, so we decided to head right on in.
I decided to try their seasonal Butter Pecan, which was absolutely great, rich, and full of flavor. My husband went a bit bolder and ordered the Whiskey Hazelnut. Wow, talk about a kick! The alcohol flavour in that one is so incredibly strong it completely blew my mind.

Instead of eating at the shop, we took our treats up to the rooftop of our building. Sitting up there with the gorgeous mountain views stretching out in front of us and the soft, warm sunset light setting in was incredibly therapeutic. I even dialed up my mom for a quick chat while licking my treat, which was the absolute perfect cherry on top of the night.
