Tractor Foods Vancouver Review: The Best Sandwiches on the Menu

🥪 The Sandwich Phase Continues: Tractor Foods

📍 Location: Tractor Everyday Healthy Foods (Vancouver)
🥪 Sandwiches Tried: Albacore Tuna ($18.00) & Roasted Chicken ($15.50)
💡 Pro-Tip: Opt for a half size! A full sandwich is massive.

Happy Saturday! I finally managed to properly catch up on my sleep today, resulting in an unintentional 17-hour fast simply because I didn't get out of bed until 1:00 PM! To be completely fair, I did technically wake up earlier in the morning, but it was just one of those luxurious days where I chose to stay cozy under the covers until Hubby finally woke me up.

We spent the early afternoon slowly cooking, enjoying a relaxed lunch, and watching the England vs. Norway World Cup match. After a refreshing shower, we decided to step out into the neighbourhood to get some air. Naturally, my current sandwich phase is still going strong, and Hubby was so sweet to indulge my cravings by suggesting a trip to our local Tractor Foods.

We decided to order two full sandwiches to split between us: the Roasted Chicken Sandwich ($15.50) and the Albacore Tuna Sandwich ($18.00). While both were incredibly satisfying, we quickly realized that ordering a full sandwich at Tractor is just a bit too much food! Moving forward, a half sandwich is definitely satisfying enough.

The Roasted Chicken Sandwich was definitely good. It comes built on sourdough with tender roasted chicken breast, peppery arugula, sweet slices of pear, melted provolone cheese, a bright pesto aioli, and their signature house-pickled onions. It’s a lovely flavour profile, though I think I’ll probably stick to my trusty Avocado + Chicken favorite next time around!

Of the two standouts we tried today, the Albacore Tuna Sandwich was hands-down my favourite! The combination here works absolutely excellently together. It features perfectly seared albacore tuna, rich smashed avocado, a crunchy miso Asian slaw, and a kick of spicy mayo all held together inside a soft ciabatta bun. Every bite had the perfect balance of texture and savoury depth.

After finishing up our bite, we made a quick walk back home so we could relax and enjoy the rest of the evening. For future reference (and for anyone else planning a trip!), here is a running diary of everything we've tried and loved from the Tractor menu so far:
