I keep coming back to Loblaws City Market at The Post, and every visit I find something I hadn't noticed before. So I finally did a full walkthrough of the ready-to-eat side of the store: The Canteen hot bar, the bakery counter, the T&T Sushi case, and the packaged Korean and Asian meals tucked into the fridges. This is the directory I wish I'd had on my first visit.

The Canteen: Hot Bar, Combos and Daily Deals
The Canteen is the heart of the ready-to-eat section, with a rotating rotisserie, a build-your-own pasta bar, and a full combo menu. I've already written a complete guide to Canteen deals and daily specials, including the full week-by-week deal schedule, so I won't repeat all of it here. For the day-by-day deal calendar (like the $14 Wednesday chicken combo and the $15 Sunday full rack of ribs), see the full Canteen deals guide.
Pizza Slices and Slabs
The Canteen also runs a small pizza program alongside the hot bar.
- Slice + Pepsi: $7 (slice without a beverage is $5)
- Pizza Slab (serves 8): $25
Sandwich Combos: The Panini Counter
Tucked into the bakery section is a small panini counter, and each one is served hot as part of an $11 sandwich combo. The Romanaccia bread is imported from Italy and exclusive to Loblaws stores, which explains why it has its own little callout on the menu screen.
- Sandwich + Pepsi (591 ml): $11
- Sandwich + Small Soup: $11
- Sandwich without a beverage: $9
Panini options:
- Turkey Bacon on Italian Romanaccia Bread (with fresh arugula and tomato)
- Chicken Bacon Mozzarella on Italian Romanaccia Bread
- Roast Beef on Italian Romanaccia Bread (with fresh arugula)
- Turkey Ricotta on Italian Style Bread
- Caprice Panini (on croissant, with arugula)
Breakfast
The Canteen also runs a full breakfast spread with steaming trays of eggs, crispy potatoes, sausage and bacon. I've reviewed the Breakfast Sausage, Egg and Cheddar Cheese Sandwich already (a steal at $4.49, but best eaten fresh rather than after it sits through a few meetings).
T&T Sushi Counter
This is the section I underestimated for a while. Past a few disappointing grab-and-go rolls I've already reviewed here (the TC Maki and mango-topped rolls, which I'd skip), there's a full T&T Sushi program with proper platters, sashimi and combos.
Rolls:
- California Roll (270 g): $7
- Vegetarian Spicy Veggie Roll (250 g): $7
- Vegetarian Cucumber Roll (230 g): $5.50
- Teriyaki Salmon Veggie Roll (280 g): $8
- Dynamite Shrimp Roll (220 g): $8.50
- Salmon Crunchy Roll (250 g): $10
- California Family Pack (630 g): $10
- Salmon California Family Pack (630 g): $15
Nigiri, Inari and Assortments:
- Inari Sushi (225 g): $6
- Sushi Selection (300 g): $15
- Regular Sashimi Sushi and Maki Combo (500 g): $23
Sashimi:
- Assorted Sashimi (230 g): $19
Dumplings:
- Chicken Gyoza (220 g): $7
- Jumbo Shrimp Dumpling (200 g): $7.99
Party Trays:
- Season Boat (40 pieces, contains sesame): $26.99
A few tags in the case are shared with the Loblaws City Market house brand rather than T&T directly, so you'll see both logos mixed into the same fridge.
Hot Warmer: Rotisserie, Bulgogi and More
Near the sushi is a hot warmer case with a handful of grab-and-go plates, ready to eat right away rather than microwave at home.
- BBQ Chicken Half (425 g): $7.29
- 1/2 Rack Smokin' Stampede Pork with Mashed Potatoes (455 g): $10
- Beef Bulgogi and Rice with Sesame (380 g): $9
- General Tso Chicken with Rice (450 g): $9
Packaged Korean and Asian Meals
Separate from the warmer, there's also a small fridge of packaged Korean and Asian dinners, distinct from the hot Korean chicken rice bowls I've already reviewed from the T&T hot bar (Korean Fried Chicken Rice Bowl, Teriyaki Salmon Rice Bowl, and Ham Kimbap). These are cold, packaged, and meant to microwave at home.
- Korean Fried Chicken with Sesame (270 g): $12
- Fried Noodle with Soy Sauce (350 g): $7
- Pork and Shrimp Shaomai (200 g): $7
- Chicken Gyoza (220 g): $7
Frequently Asked Questions
Where exactly is Loblaws City Market at The Post?
It's at 658 Homer St, Vancouver, inside the historic Canada Post building
downtown.
What's the cheapest way to eat here?
Combos for One at $9 without a drink, or a small PC Slow-simmered soup at $5.
Is the sushi any good?
It depends which counter you're at. I found the packaged grab-and-go rolls
disappointing, but the fuller T&T Sushi platters and sashimi looked much more
promising. I'll update this post once I've tried them.
What's the best deal for a family?
The Family Meals board at a flat $20, which feeds 4 with a protein, 2 sides
and a 1L Pepsi.
Final Thoughts
Loblaws City Market at The Post keeps surprising me with how much is packed into one grocery store. Between the Canteen, the bakery panini, the T&T Sushi case and the packaged Korean meals, there's genuinely something here for a quick breakfast, a weeknight dinner, or a family feed. Prices in this post are from menu boards and shelf tags in September 2026 and can change, so double-check in store.
Now I want to hear from you: what's your go-to order at The Post, and what should I taste-test next? Tell me in the comments!
