I'm back at the Olympic Village Save-On-Foods, and this time I walked the whole ready-to-eat area with my phone out. Grocery store meals are one of my favourite no-effort dinners (and you don't have to tip!), so I wanted to see everything they have in one place.

Where to Find Save-On-Foods Olympic Village
This store is at 1688 Salt St, and it used to be the Olympic Village Urban Fare. It reopened as a Save-On-Foods on June 5, 2025. The ready-to-eat food is spread across the Kitchen counter, the grab-and-go fridges and the sushi case, so here's a tour of each one.
If you want the hot bar side (rotisserie chicken, crispy chicken, poutine and more), my Save-On-Foods Olympic Village Kitchen menu has the full list. Prices there are from March 2026.
Grab-and-Go Sandwiches from the Kitchen Fridge
The Kitchen fridge is stocked with packaged sandwiches, and most are $6.99. The classic Tuna Salad and hearty Roast Beef and Cheddar Cheese are the budget-friendly picks. For something bigger, the giant Lumber Jack Sandwich is $9.99 for a half or $14.99 for a whole.
Here's a little math for you: two halves would cost $19.98, but the whole Lumber Jack is $14.99, so the whole sandwich saves you almost $5 if you're sharing.
Every sandwich tag also shows a More Rewards offer: get it free when you redeem 4000 points.
- Tuna Salad Sandwich: $6.99

Fresh Salads and the Soup Combo
The salads sit right next to the sandwiches. Every salad has a "Make it a combo" sticker: add a small hot soup for $3. Each salad also comes with one free dressing.

Final Thoughts
The Olympic Village Save-On-Foods has way more ready-to-eat options than I expected. My favourite finds are the $3 soup combo add-on with a salad, the free coffee with a breakfast sandwich, and the big hearty Lumber Jack sandwich for sharing. Prices in this post are from the shelf tags and menu boards in September 2026, and they can change, so double-check at the store.
Now I want to hear from you: what's your go-to grab-and-go dinner from a grocery store, and what should I taste-test first here? Tell me in the comments!
