Fettuccini Marinara at Denny's Test Kitchen

Merry Christmas! My parents, my husband, and I attended the 11:00 AM Christmas Day Mass at our church. They gave us a ride home.

After Mass, we had lunch at the only open restaurant in the area: Denny's Test Kitchen & Bar One. I had a wonderful time chatting and spending time with my parents.

Since this is Denny's Test Kitchen, we ordered items with the TK icon.

Zesty Chipotle Nachos

The nachos was surprisingly delicious. It's not Boston Pizza-level good, but it is acceptable. The nacho meat and pepper jack queso was a tad bit sweet and I wish the chipotle flavour is stronger, but overall a decent nacho.

Fettuccini Marinara

Denny's attempt at marinara sauce is just bad. It is worse than bottled marinara sauce I buy from the grocery. The shrimp was alright, but the sauce was not. Do not release this to other locations, Denny's. The only saving grace of the plate is the dinner bread. They're perfectly buttered and toasted.

Turkey Dinner

My husband chose Turkey Dinner because it's Christmas. It has everything you expect in a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. I took a bite and it's pretty decent. I'm not a fan of the stuffing, but the rest is acceptable.

Overall, I can accept the mediocre food because I have wonderful company. My husband is with me and my parents are here too. I am blessed. Thank God for giving me the chance to spend time with people I love.
