✨ At a Glance: Quick Facts
| 📍 Location: | Foy's Irish Bar & Grill (Vancouver, BC) |
| 🍳 Ordered: | Full Irish Breakfast ($21.00) |
| ⭐ Smooch Verdict: | An absolute feast of traditional Irish comfort. Even if a takeout container doesn't show off its best side, the rich puddings, deeply savoury rashers, and generous portions make this an incredibly satisfying treat that easily stretches into two meals. |
I debated back and forth on whether to post this or not. Foy's serves up an authentic full Irish breakfast, but because we got it to go, my photo just did not do it justice! Takeout foil containers never quite capture the magic, do they? But the flavours were far too good to keep to myself, so I'm sharing it anyway!
When it came time to pick a spot for our team lunch today, I was focused on finding comforting Irish cuisine. At first, I was craving a spice bag, and then I wanted a hearty beef and Guinness stew. By the time Thursday morning rolled around, I completely changed my order and decided on the Full Irish Breakfast.
Let me tell you, this feast came with absolutely everything: thick, salty rashers, a plump, juicy sausage, two eggs (though my order somehow came with a whopping four poached eggs!), earthy black and white pudding, sautéed mushrooms, a juicy roasted tomato, sweet baked beans, and a slice of multigrain toast. My only real regret, though I am sure my body is secretly grateful for the nutrients, was choosing the garden side salad over the hash potato.

| Don't judge a book by its cover: The incredibly hearty Full Irish Breakfast from Foy's. |
Despite the lack of hash browns, I thoroughly enjoyed every single bite. It is a wonderfully rich, heavy spread of meats, which eventually became a little too intense for me to finish in one sitting. I ended up saving a few thick slices of the savoury rashers, a couple of pieces of the deeply spiced black and white pudding, and three of those surprise eggs. It made the perfect, effortless bonus breakfast to enjoy the next morning!
