Perfect for Fall: Pumpkin Cheesecake from Trees Cheesecake + Organic Coffee

It's one of my favourite times of the month! Trees Cheesecake + Organic Coffe changed their seasonal flavour from Peanut Butter to Pumpkin. We had it with Pumpkin Spiced Latte, which doesn't taste like pumpkin spiced at all.

Pumpkin Cheesecake

The Pumpkin Cheesecake taste like pumpkin (not pumpkin spice). I can actually see shredded pumpkin in the Cheesecake.

New Year's Eve Midnight Snack from SM Delights

If you read my previous post , I explained our NYE dinner tradition. On top of ordering pies, I got different round Filipino snacks from SM Delights . Bibikingkinitan (which I assume means small bibingka) Puto and Kutsinta Mocha Mamon and Chocobutternut They gave us free choco butternut and caramel bar, which was a nice surprise. I ordered three more items which I gave to my parents to enjoy. Pan de coco is my dad's favourite. Cassava cake is something my mom has been craving for a while now. Lastly, I ordered Spanish bread for my siblings to enjoy. Cassava Cake Spanish Bread Pan de Coco I haven't heard from my family if they like it or not. I enjoyed the bibingkinitan, and it's the only thing we've eaten so far since we ordered a lot of food and has been eating nonstop. We'll have the rest for tomorrow. Happy New Year! January 5, 2021 Update : I love the mocha mamon. I want to order a couple dozen just so I can munch on it for dessert and snacks. My hubby loved the

Spicy Chicken McNuggets and Trying Li'l Donuts from McDonald's

Happy Saturday! I have wanted to try the Spicy Chicken McNuggets ever since it was released, but we only eat out once a week, and we usually have plans during the weekends, so for the first time in a while, we have a weekend with zero plans. The only plan for this weekend is to be cozy at home (since it's raining outside) and order in. Delivery from McDonald's Is the Spicy Chicken McNuggets spicy? A year ago, hubby and I ordered a lot (is way too much possible?) from McDonald's. We tried  all three Spicy McChicken® , and only the Ghost Pepper had substantial heat to be a little painful. The Spicy Chicken McNuggets have the same flavour as the non-spicy version, but when it reaches your throat, that's when you feel some heat. It's not painful spicy by any means, but definitely delicious. What's up with the Li'l Donuts? McDonald's Canada introduced the Li'l Donuts a couple months back. My brother said he liked it better than Tim Horton's donuts, so

Food Daddy Persian Cuisine at Thank Granville It's Food trucks (TGIF)

The South Granville Business Improvement Association (SGBIA) organized Thank Granville It's Food Trucks (TGIF). Every Friday and Saturday from 11 in the morning until 8 in the evening from June through Labour Day, there will be a rotating lineup of food trucks located along West 10th Avenue at Fir Street in front of the Vancouver School Board building. Happy Saturday! I am going to let you in on a little secret. I started dieting again, and do you have any idea how hard it is to diet when you love good, delicious food? That's why the number of posts has slowed down this August because preparing meals at home would allow me to control portions and ingredients. That said, it's my goal to try as many food trucks as I could that's part of TGIF. Yesterday, they announced on Instagram that a new food truck is going to be participating today. Hence, we had lunch from Food Daddy Persian Cuisine.

Lunch and Apple Pie Dream Donut from Tim Hortons

We're celebrating hubby's 4th anniversary in Canada with lunch delivery from Tim Hortons. It's my first time ordering directly on the Tim Hortons website, and apparently, their delivery partner is DoorDash. Lunch delivery from Tim Hortons Anyway, as with our previous Tim Hortons visit, we ordered whatever Dream Donut is available. Dulce de Leche Dream Donut from early 2020 Chocolate Hazelnut Éclair Dream Sea Salted Caramel Dream New York Cheesecake Dream Donut Strawberry Shortcake Filled Ring Vanilla Cream Puff Filled Ring Today, we were able to try the Apple Pie Dream Donut. It was surprisingly delicious. I love the crumble on top and the surprising apple pie in the middle. Apple Pie Dream Donut I also ordered one of my favourite items, the Chili. I was going to order Potato Wedges but saw Chili & Cheese Potato Wedges. I'm too weak to say no to that. I regretted not going for the tried and tested Potato Wedges. I do not recommend the Chili & Cheese Potato Wedge

Ube Cake from Kaye Bakes

I continue my support of Filipino businesses and entrepreneurs by ordering Ube (purple yam) cake from Kaye Bakes. Kaye Bakes for Celebration Today we're celebrating three things: my mom's birthday, my youngest sister's high school graduation, and father's day. It only fits to order some cake, and I thought a cake we can't buy from Costco would be fitting. How I ordered from Kaye Bakes? I reached out on their Facebook page Tuesday to ask if they can do a Saturday delivery or if it's too late. I also asked for prices and if they can deliver. They were able to deliver on a Saturday at Richmond. I paid via Interac-E Transfer. Ube Cake Purple yam is famous in the Philippines. The colour is unique, and it's delicious! We love Ube cake in the Philippines, and I didn't think we would be able to enjoy some here in Canada. Ube Cake from Kaye Bakes Ube Cake from Kaye Bakes You should hear the glee from my younger sister. She loves Ube cake the most among all of us

Week 6 of HelloFresh: Spicy Week

We skipped the HelloFresh delivery last week because I didn't like the available options. This week I ordered three meals because only these three have a reasonable amount of calories and do not require an oven. Spicy Kung Pao Chicken with Peanuts and Ginger Rice HelloFresh Description: Speedy, spicy stir-fry! Juicy pieces of chicken get a flavour boost from a quick marinade, while crunchy golden peanuts will remind you of the takeout classic! This is not my favourite HelloFresh dish and that's because I am familiar with Kung Pao Chicken. It's one dish I almost always get at Chinese restaurants. My favourite one is from Gourmet Wok inside Granville Island Public Market. I reheated the Spicy Kung Pao Chicken for lunch and it's really one of the worst (if not the worst) dishes we've had from HelloFresh.
