Trying the Famous Beef Roll at Peaceful Restaurant: A Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Experience

After watching the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode featuring Peaceful Restaurant, we knew we had to try Guy Fieri's recommendations for ourselves! We were just here last week for my birthday dinner , but we enjoyed the food so much that we had to come back to try the specific dishes featured on the show. It is one thing to see those hand-pulled noodles on TV, but it is another thing entirely to smell them hitting the table. The star of the show is undeniably the Peaceful Beef Roll . Peaceful Restaurant Favourites: Xiao Long Bao and General Tso's Chicken

It was my birthday week, and the Filipino in me was having a serious craving for rice! You know how it is—sometimes nothing else will do. While we were walking around Cambie Street, we decided to stop by Peaceful Restaurant to satisfy that craving and have a nice, peaceful dinner. Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumplings) You can't go to Peaceful without getting the Xiao Long Bao . There’s something so satisfying about that first bite when the hot broth hits—just be careful not to burn your tongue! These were a great way to start our birthday meal. General Tso's Chicken The General Tso's Chicken is always a crowd-pleaser. It has that perfect sticky, sweet, and slightly spicy glaze that pairs perfectly with—you guessed it—plenty of rice!
