Frittata Panino from Giovane Caffè

Fridays are usually my "work from my PJs" kind of day, but today, hubby and I needed a change of scenery at the new office!

We braved the deluge (seriously, it was raining cats and dogs!) with my monitor, keyboard, and desk essentials in tow. Thankfully, a Lyft ride saved us from a complete soaking! ☔️ Once at the office, hubby and I tackled setting up my workspace. It was all smiles and giggles as we transformed my desk into a productivity zone.

Here's the kicker: being good Catholics, it was a meat-free Friday for us, meaning no beef, pork, chicken, lamb, or anything of the sort. But fear not, fellow foodies! The Giovane Caffè gods were smiling down on us.

This excellent cafe, conveniently located in our building's lobby, boasts a fantastic selection of vegetarian and seafood options – perfect for our meat-free Friday feast.

While I won't spoil the surprise for next time, let me just say my Frittata Panino with mushroom frittata, arugula, truffle aioli, and caciocavallo cheese was a flavour explosion! It was the perfect way to fuel up for the day.

The star of the show was the mushroom frittata, fluffy and bursting with earthy notes. It was perfectly complemented by the peppery arugula that added a refreshing touch. The truffle aioli, oh, the truffle aioli! It was like a luxurious spread, adding a touch of richness and a hint of truffle's unique aroma. And to top it all off, the caciocavallo cheese tied everything together beautifully with its slightly salty and milky flavour.
