A Scoop from Uno Gelato

Happy Sunday! After Mass today, we decided to walk around and ended up doing a 9-kilometre walk in portions of the Seawall and across two bridges. On the False Creek side, we saw Uno Gelato open on the side of Mahony and Sons (now called Mahony's Tavern). I ordered Roasted Hazelnut while my husband went for Pistacho.

I am grateful that we're not allergic to nuts since we enjoyed both ice creams while continuing our walk. The flavour is so distinct and pronounced.

Hubby and I started a personal project to support businesses (specifically restaurants and coffee shops) along West and East Broadway that are affected by the construction of the Broadway Subway Project.

But since we spent our May 23 (Victoria Day) walking 5 kilometres to Commercial Drive from Hemlock Street and another 5 kilometres going back, I'm going to keep this list here.

Happy Saturday! We're celebrating our mom's birthday today, and she requested sushi party trays. I was initially going to get them from T&T Supermarket, but they don't allow pick-up before 2:00 PM when I tried ordering online.

I searched for sushi party trays near me on Google Maps and found several options, which is not surprising because there are around five sushi restaurants within a kilometre of where we live. I chose Sushi Master as part of our BBB campaign.

After enjoying breakfast, I ordered potato wedges (my favourite from Tim Hortons) and the Chocolate Coconut Toasted Donut.

The donut itself is surprisingly good. It's not dry, and it's not super sweet, but the coconut flavour is subtle and mild, which is disappointing since it's really just the flakes on top.
